Ms. Priyadarshani has over 20 years of experience in working with young children and being a teacher in Montessori and Pre-school classrooms. She has got involved in research on Montessori education and its implementation in different countries. She has been involved in training teachers and teacher assistants.

Ms. Priyadarshani is a Trained Montessori guide (Association Montessori international – AMI) and graduated from Montessori Center of Minnesota – USA. She gained her Bachelor of education honours in special needs education (B.Ed.SNE) degree from Open University of Sri Lanka.

She gained her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, Certificate, and Advanced Certificate in Pre-school Education from Open University of Sri lanka where she completed Masters level education in Montessori and Early childhood education.

She was further trained on Montessori Method of Education (AMI), Art Therapy and Mental Disorders in Childhood from Training Centre for Montessori Teachers in Sri Lanka.  She also has completed training in Human Resource Management and Teaching English to young learners. She has obtained a Diploma in Business English from Business Training Ltd, Manchester, UK.

At present she serves as the Lead Teacher in the Preschool Classroom.

Miss Kinda has been working with Montessori School of Kearny Mesa since 2007. She has always loved engaging with children and was the main reason she joined our institution.

In 2002, she graduated from West Visayas State University in the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and completed her units in Child Development and Early Childhood Education at Mesa community college, Miramar community college and UCLA Extension.

All her three children completed Montessori training at MSKM so she witnessed firsthand how Montessori education is amazingly transformative.

She feels extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful children, families, and proactive co-workers in this school.

Miss Shantal was born in Mexico and moved to the United States in 2008 where she lives with her son. She has been with the MSKM team for over 5 years.

She has her Masters in Early Childhood Education and also has a degree in Communication. As a bilingual teacher, she enjoys the added benefit of being able to communicate with the children and parents in Spanish.

She believes that children need a loving, caring environment to enhance learning through exploration and discovery. She prides herself on her ability to maintain a positive environment for the children in her care. In her spare time, Miss Shantal enjoys dancing, traveling and reading.

Ms Senali is from Sri Lanka and works in our Infant Room. She is committed to creating a positive and nurturing environment. Ms. Senali is also a qualified computer Programmer which is an asset to the school.

She takes great pleasure in spending time with the children and loves to make a meaningful impact on their lives.

She is helpful, kind and loves being with children. Her friendly and happy demeanor makes her popular with the children and parents.

Beyond her professional life, she enjoys hiking, sewing and reading. She feels having hobbies help enrich her personal life and stay balanced and inspired.

Ms. Shay was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the USA in 2008. She has been a part of the MSKM family since 2011.

After joining the school she discovered a passion for teaching.She quickly fell in love with the nature of the job and strives to help in molding the future of young lives. She is caring, patient, and an upstanding teacher and goes above and beyond lending a helping hand.

Part of her hobbies are cooking, baking, hiking and she especially enjoys spending time with her only daughter.

Miss Maribel is a qualified Teacher who has been with the school for over 13 years. She lives in San Diego with her husband and two daughters. During her free time she loves to travel and play sports.

Ms. Maribel is a kind and compassionate teacher. She enjoys being with the children and loves to engage them in outdoor activities. She believes it is important for the children to have a positive experience in their first steps in learning.

Miss Jessie has been a part of the Montessori School of Kearny Mesa for nine years. She is a very pleasant, happy and easy-going teacher who always has the child’s happiness at heart. She lives with her husband in San Diego.

She loves cooking, art and crafts and is involved with being a role model to young adults at her church. Ms. Jessie loves getting the children to express themselves through art and crafts.

She believes that children should have a happy and nurturing atmosphere to grow in and that it is important for the parents and the school to work together to achieve this.

Ms. Estela joined the school three years ago and has since grown to be an important part of our team. Her friendly and happy demeanor makes her a great fit to our Infant/Toddler room.

She lives with her family in San Diego and enjoys the outdoors very much.

She believes that children should have a happy, safe and positive environment to thrive in. She is a dependable team member.

Miss Isaura is the cook in our team. She lives with her husband in San Diego.

Ms. Isaura is a kind, happy and dedicated person who loves children and enjoys coming up with new recipes for them.

She enjoys her job and is always ready to lend a helping hand when and wherever needed. Her hobbies are cooking and sewing. Her sewing skills making her sought after during our Spring Concerts and Winter Programs.
